About this Recipe

After Christmas binges this turmeric drink is
a panacea, just be careful because turmeric is very dirty. Handle it with care because even the hands can be dyed yellow and use a saucepan that you
do not particularly keep (and even the cup) because it could remain a bit colorful.

  • 35g turmeric powder
  • 4-5 black peppercorn
  • 1dl water
    For the drink
  • vegetable milk (oats or rice)
  • vegetable oil
  • cinnamon powder

I took the recipe from the La Cucina del Corriere della Sera, always a source of inspiration for its beautiful proposals.

Pour turmeric and peppercorns into a saucepan, add the water and cook just enough time to form a slightly muddy paste and the spices begin to give off their aroma.

Remove the peppercorn, let it cool, then put the paste in a jar and keep it in the fridge (it lasts about 20 days).

When you want to prepare a cup of golden milk, put half a teaspoon of turmeric paste in a cup, add a teaspoon of vegetable oil (I used coconut oil), mix well, then add 2 dl of vegetable milk (I used the rice one) and heat it in the microwave or in a saucepan until everything is hot.

If you like you can at this point sprinkle with cinnamon (I did it, it’s delicious!).
