About this Recipe

A Christmas tea with the extra touch of turmeric. I used the bitter orange peel, I find that it gives even more perfume to the infusion.


  • 2 large sticks of cinnamon 
  • 4-6 berries of star anise 
  • half a organic orange (the peel)
  • the tip of 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder


about a liter of tea

10 minute

Pour into a pot 1 liter plenty of water, add the cinnamon sticks, the star anise berries (depending on the taste up
to 6) and the orange peel.

When the water is boiling, lower the heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Add the turmeric and continue cooking for another 5 minutes. Serve tea, to taste, sweetening it with a little honey or maple syrup.
